Horcruxes and Quidditch Players

Warning: Here be spoilers to the Harry Potter series. In case you haven't read the books or watched the movies, I strongly recommend that you get all caught up and come back here. And in the modified version of Dan Brown's Leigh Teabing, "If you are a Harry Potter virgin, my dear, trust me, you will never forget your first time"

I've been having this crazy fanfic theory for some time now. Isn't seven the most powerfully magical number? 7 wonders of the world, 7 seas, 7 notes of music, 7 players of Quidditch... What if JKR modeled Quidditch players on the Horcruxes that Lord Voldemort intended to make / made intentionally? Let's have a look at each type of player:

1) Chasers: Players who try to score what must be rightfully theirs. Slytherin's locket and Marvolo Gaunt's ring with the Peverell coat of arms were Voldemort's rightful heirlooms. Tom Riddle's diary which provided access to the Chamber of Secrets, an inheritance of Lord Voldemort's.

2) Beaters: Supposedly tough people who are supposed to smash bludgers towards the opposing team. Hufflepuff's cup and Ravenclaw's lost diadem - extremely difficult to source.

3) Keeper: Someone who protects the goal hoops by staying close to them. Something like what Nagini did, staying close to Lord Voldemort; protecting his precious soul in his protective gaze.

4) Seeker: The lightest player who wins the game in search of the evanescent, capricious, elusive snitch. This has to be Lord Voldemort himself - seeking to be master of death. Always on the lookout for the enemy, always searching for ways and means to vanquish Harry, on the lookout for things that will make him powerful.

Worth pondering, ain't it? As a bonus, I'll throw in a custom designed symbol of the deathly hallows: The dark mark representing the Elder Wand with its bloody history splattered across the pages of history, with the logo of  Ouroboros symbolizing the (pseudo) reincarnation brought about by the Resurrection Stone, and both under the protective coverage of the Cloak of Invisibility.
