Keeping in tradition with celebrating valentine's day, mother's day, grandma's day and root 2 day, they have finally thought of commemorating me with world pi day.
On a serious note, pi day is celebrated on March,14 (3/14) every year in many countries all over the world. Many educational institutes offer free pie on this day. Special pies are baked just to celebrate the existence of this holy number.

People calculate the value of pi to 300 decimal places just for fun, play around with volumes, compare and contract areas and volumes of many geometric shapes (areas and volumes)
